PHOTOS: Hundreds of Fans Celebrated the Midnight Release of Nintendo Switch 2 in Toronto Last Night

Nintendo of Canada hosted an evening launch event at EB Games at Yonge and Dundas for Nintendo superfans eager to be among the first to get their hands on Nintendo's newest gaming system.

Fans enjoyed Nintendo trivia, received free swag, and were led in a countdown to midnight by YouTuber and gaming enthusiast, Shark

Nintendo of Canada’s VP and General Manager, Susan Pennefather and EB Games Canada President, Jim Tyo, were on-site to thank fans for their support.

The Nintendo Switch 2 system is Nintendo’s newest video gaming system, which boasts a bigger screen full of vibrant colour and clarity, faster processing speeds, and new Joy-Con 2 controllers that snap on magnetically - and even double as a mouse in compatible games - marking it as the next step in gaming.
